Anybody Can Write
The power of the scribe
Anybody can write, scrawls on a page with
— fancy pens, pencil nubs, type letters, to
form coherent words on a screen dimmed
just right — but can you grab my mind by
the throat and dare me to look away —
crack my heart in two — to expose geodes
of wonder inside, the jagged pieces that cut
sever, the soft mounds…
