The nights are drawing in. Mornings are slightly darker than two weeks ago. The temperature has dropped a few degrees. Collars have gone up. Scarves have been pulled out of drawers. And we hesitate for a few more minutes than we’d care to own up to whether to throw the bedcovers off or not.
Whisper it: autumn’s here.
For me this is the perfect time to meet friends and make new ones. Which is why I’m organising the first (to my knowledge, unless there’s been a previous one and I wasn’t invited. Worry not, I’ll take no umbrage. Smiles) meeting of London-based Medium writers. Whether you were born in the Big Smoke or, like me, you’re an immigrant-cum-Londoner, I’d love to meet you, sit down with you and share our experiences of this huge metropolis.
The date I’ve got in mind is Saturday 5th October, two weeks after the official start of autumn (22nd September). Time will be 6pm, so we’re talking dinner. The venue I’m considering is the Indian Veggie Buffet Restaurant on Chapel Market, Islington, north London. It’s central enough that it can be accessed by train (Angel tube station on the Northern Line is five minutes away) and bus, without being too close to the West End.
