0 — Protocol: Prologue
Technology has always been a complex topic. As scientific advances developed in the form of hardware and software, advertisement and education were designed to convince us of their needs. To assure us why our households urge for vacuum cleaners, shampoos, and magnificent octopi-shaped candelabrums.
As envisioned by experts and futurologists, the economy model understood as "you make it first, then you found out where to use it later" was crucial to achieving progress. Such progress was shaped in the form of autonomous vacuum cleaners, hair conditioners, and those fancy hue-shifting light bulbs.
Call centers were an integral part of these ad campaigns. While housewives initially developed the telephone-based marketing strategy in the 50s as an attempt to bring extra money to their families, it soon evolved into a globalized aim to reach clients through inadequate timing and persistence. Thus it found new grounds through the use of Artificial Intelligence.
