“Good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life.”

– Mark Twain

The health of our brain is important to every individual and we do our best to protect it. Are we doing our best? Let’s learn the answers to these and keep our brains young and healthy.

Pay Attention To The Sleep Pattern

With the developing technology, a large electromagnetic dump is formed, especially in big cities. The electromagnetic field that affects perception causes overload in the brain by causing stimulus pollution. Electromagnetic fields, which cause many problems such as focusing problems, distraction, and forgetfulness, do not allow the brain to rest and renew itself. During sleep, which is the time when the brain regenerates itself the most, products such as mobile phones and televisions that may have an electromagnetic effect should not be near the person. If the brain, which starts the day in a spring air with a night of quality sleep, is compared to the seasons, it must experience all 4 seasons during the day.

Reducing the Stress Level

I think this is one of the most important. This must be what they call stress at the beginning of everything. Stress is one of the biggest psychological problems of our age. There are many different factors for people to experience stress. Under stress, the adrenal glands secrete the hormone cortisol, which damages the hippocampus in the brain, which is of great importance for memory. For this reason, stress management is very important for brain health. Excessive cortisol secretion prevents the formation of new nerve cells, and this can cause Alzheimer’s. For this reason, they should avoid stress and learn to manage stress.

Playing Brain Teasers and Solving Puzzles

With intelligent games and puzzles, the mind should always be kept active and thus keep fit. This is important for brain health at later ages in order to avoid forgetfulness and memory problems.

Exercising Daily

Perhaps you’ve read and heard many times, but exercise is one of the key factors for brain health. According to the results of a study conducted by the University of Georgia in the USA, a 20-minute daily exercise increases the information processing and memory functions of the brain.

Besides these;
• studies are showing that factors that cause nerve cell production are stimulated in people who do sports.
• Sports, which has positive effects on blood circulation, also positively affects the development and functioning of the brain that works healthier with blood.
• Brain regions, which have functions in many subjects such as orientation, memory, conscious thinking, planning, attention, control of impulses, problem-solving, and dealing with multiple tasks, are activated by sports.

The Daily Need for Laughing

While sincere laughter facilitates the oxygen delivery to the brain, it prepares the ground for keeping blood pressure in balance and regulating hormones. During laughter, the nerves in the brain work in coordination, allowing the endorphin secretion to increase and positive stimuli to activate. During the day, rituals such as laughing, chatting with a friend, or coffee help reduce the burden on the brain and keep the day going well.

The importance of brain health should not be ignored and attention should be paid. See you.
