Finding time for workouts can be really frustrating — now that gym memberships are so expensive.

For someone like me who goes to school on weekdays and works on weekends, finding a day to work out is nearly impossible. Even though we try to eat enough or (a balanced) amount of fruits and vegetables — fruits and veggies are not enough to keep us healthy, but a balance of both along with appropriate workouts. This is my daily workout routine and the four exercises designed to help anyone achieve their goals.

These are the four exercises guaranteed to help you burn calories and stay healthy.

  1. Push-ups

Push-ups are easy to do, probably the easiest among all the exercises. They can be done virtually anywhere and do not require any type of equipment. A 30 mins push-up can burn about 343 kcal.

I recommend you do this before showering in the morning and after work. You can burn some calories and also gain upper body strength and muscles.

2. Squats

You burn around 8 calories every minute from just doing normal squats and a total of 246 kcal . You don’t need a fitness instructor or Coach — all you have to do is practice your squats every morning before and after work or school, You can also build your abs in the process. Killing two birds with one stone.

Bicycle Crunches

Bicycle crunches are also fairly easy to do, you can do it anywhere and at any time. You don’t have to set aside a day or a week to exercise just do this daily on your bed, you can again build your abs in the process.

  1. Lie on the mat and lift your legs in the air.
  2. Peddle your legs continuously like riding a bicycle.
  3. Repeat the process.

Jumping Jacks

The jumping jack exercise is as effective and as easy as all the exercises above, you can do it anywhere and at any time. You can burn 8 to 11.8 calories a minute.

  1. Stand with your feet together and place your arms right beside your body.
  2. Jump with your legs apart and your hand over your head.
  3. Repeat this process daily.

Exercising is very important in our day-to-day living. Just eating veggies and fruit isn't going to cut it. Try these exercises at home and I guarantee there are going to be changes in your body and your mind.
