Four Reasons Writers Should Avoid Making Compromises

Writing is a creative process, and creativity requires motivation. As such, over the years, I have come to believe writers should always remain firm with their demands and avoid making a lot of compromises. It makes absolutely no sense for writers to undervalue themselves. On the contrary, the reverse is true.

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that I believe it makes more sense to wait for better opportunities than to latch on to anything that comes by. Every offer that comes my way is not the right one, and I have to exercise extreme caution as regards the choices I make. Before you jump to conclusions, let me assure you it is not arrogance. It is not stubbornness, either.
