What it is and how to get into it

I got paid $5,000 to write my first book. As a writer, it was an absolute dream come true. How did I do it? Two words: ghost writing.

In this article, I’ll answer the questions “What is ghost writing?” and “How do I get into it?”

According to an article on selfpublishingus.com, 97% of people who start writing a book will never finish it! Out of the 3% of people who do finish their book, only 20% of these will publish it!

If we start with 1,000 aspiring book writers, the reality is only 6 of these writers will take their book to the finish line — completing and publishing it.

There are so many reasons why this number is low. For some people, fear and impostor syndrome stop them. Some people don’t have the time or energy. And some people have a great idea, but they just aren’t great at writing.

Enter: the ghost writer. The job of the ghost writer is to get sh*t done! A ghost writer takes the ideas and vision of the individual who wants to write a book and turns them into a tangible reality.
