the new year is in sight, focus on building your identity
as a person and a community, infect all around you
discover who you really are, remove the old add the new
live in the present day, let go of yesterday
begin each day asking “Who am I?”
“Am I all that I ought to be?”
your evolution will begin to emerge
it starts with a thought or a question
turning into actions on a daily basis
being unstoppable, you soon arrive
at a new place in life, your mind, spirit, and soul
your wholeness will guide your every step
be determined and take time to enjoy the view
smell the roses, share a smile and a touch
will change another’s life and yours
be self-determined and don’t look back
life is for the living, give it your best shot
no regrets at the end of the day
Happy Kwanzaa, stay determined
triumph your bad day, to your good day
remember the golden rule, do unto others
as you will have them do unto you
stay determined, and you win.
