The truth of Arsenic Album 30: the homeopathic drug for Covid-19.

29 January, 2020: The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) rolled out two advisories which claimed Arsenic Album 30 could be taken as prophylactic medicine against possible Corona virus infections. It has recommended one dose of Arsenicum Album 30, daily in empty stomach for three days. The dose should be repeated after one month by following the same schedule.
A majority of people have been observed taking the medicine in excess on a daily basis with this belief in mind that "homeopathy medicines don’t have any side effects" we’ll dive deeper into that later...
An interview with ABP news :
On march 7, one of the minister of AYUSH, Dr. Manoj Rajouriya said,
"We believe Arsenic Album30, when taken for three days empty stomach will reduce the chance of contracting the Corona disease by close to 100%".
However, when Shri Padnayak, the head of AYUSH was questioned, he immediately withdraw and said
"We held a conference and tried to figure out which homeopathy medicines we can offer that might help build immunity against the disease and we believe that Arsenic Album might help, but we don’t guarentee it, we advise people to follow proper sanitation".
He did not utter a word about being sure about the medicine and also stated it has nothing to do with COVID-19.
Does it actually increases immunity:
Well if the organisation that advised the medicine itself isn’t sure about the medicine, then it is not surprising that there is no data, no scientific evidence that points that Arsenic Album 30 can boost immunity in any way.
However, searching for evidence for the drug Arsenicum Album 30, only one paper was found, published in British Homeopathic Journal (Kayne & Rafferty, 1994), that studied its use in neonatal diarrhoea in calves.
This study was not only in animals on a different type of infection, but was found to be statistically invalid by Verdier, Öhagen & Alenius in 2003.
So when it is pretty safe to say that there is no existing proof of this medicine that is useful for humans, there are proofs of Arsenic Album’s side effects:

There is a 2003 study in India that showed that an improperly prepared and dosed Arsenicum homeopathic formula caused high arsenic levels in several patients.
Arsenic Album 30 uses arsenic trioxide as its parent drug and it’s high levels can cause:

•Shivering or a sudden feeling of cold
•Increase in the number of white blood cells in the blood
There are more deadly side effects which happens to relatively small amount of people taking arsenic trioxide, but I think there’s no need to state them, you got my point.
Another thing to note here is, people taking improper and overdose of arsenic album30 thinking "homeopathy has no side effects" are OBVIOUSLY more prone to these side effects in the long term.
#VERDICT :
Homeopathy obsession in India has been for so long that people have started believing that it originates from india itself.
Another common belief we come across is, “there is no harm in taking any homeoPATHETIC drug because it don’t have any side effects.”
I don’t know where this came from, but it’s pretty clear now that even homeoPATHETIC drugs have side effects and should be consumed carefully.
Several scientists across the world had claimed homeopathy to be a mere placebo [placebo: a medicine or procedure prescribed for the psychological benefit to the patient rather than for any physiological effect, but one should be aware of the toll "phycological satisfaction" extracts from one's body].
Several scientists have claimed homeopathy to be ineffective and dangerous because there is no true evidence of it's effectiveness, the one's which exits are found to have false data.
Spain has even proposed to ban the it's practise in the country while several other advise it's citizens to be aware.
But in india it flourishes, because here people take immense satisfaction in it because of its cheap nature which provides easy treatments for diseases even like cancer.
