How British TV Mysteries Inspire My Writing
3 Shows That Offer Good Lessons
British TV is some of the best when it comes to mysteries, and it has certainly had an influence on my writing. I grew up watching British television and reading British mysteries, including Agatha Christie, with my grandmother.
My grandmother was an avid mystery fan, and we loved sitting down together in the evenings to watch a good mystery and see who could unravel the puzzle first. We made guesses all throughout the show, coming up with complex theories for each series we watched.

Midsomer Murders is a British TV show that has been running since 1997. The show takes place in the fictional county of Midsomer, and it follows the investigations of DCI John Barnaby (played by John Nettles).
