2024 was a tough year. I struggled to write. I fell off the journaling train and only journaled sporadically. I wasn’t inspired. I didn’t have any stories to tell or anything to say.

In the past year, I had become less confident and I was a shriveled, retreated shell of myself a couple of years ago.

I don’t regret the year I had, but at the same time, I know that things needed to change this year.

Setting new year intentions and themes is nothing novel, but I wanted to share mine in case any of these resonates.

This year, I will —

1. Reconnect with things that bring joy

In 2024, I lost the excitement I had for life.

I used to feel so alive working on my mental health startup, MindTerra, but that came to a natural end in 2022. I used to get so excited writing on here and connecting with people through comments, but I stopped writing. I used to be so motivated to learn French during the pandemic, and now I rarely talk to my language exchange partners.

Of course, interests can change, but for me, it’s about reconnecting with things that bring that spark and excitement.
