Pets and children succumb to heat because they were left in the car. Even when it is not hot yet, a car can heat up fast. Every summer, the news shows this kind of incident at least once. Every incident is one too many.

If you parked in the shade, the shadow shifts with time passing by. On a hot day, even parked in the shade, heat can make the car a dangerous environment! No matter if you crack a window, no breeze will reach the interior.

Did you ever realise that this danger starts at a normal temperature on any summerday? A nice 21 °C / 70 °F turns into a tropical 34 ° / 93 °F in only 10 minutes! If you didn’t know, how must it feel for a dog left alone in that car?

Picture this…

You may try not to, but can imagine it all too well. A dog alone in the car, left for an errand, a dinner or longer. The owner thinks ‘they are safe in the car’ but doesn’t realise the consequences.

The A/C was turned off a moment ago, seconds before the owner left.
Then the build-up of temperature starts. The dog, let’s name him Lucky, chews on his toy and waits patiently for his owner ‘Daddy’. The inside of the car is getting a bit hot, where the sun is on his leg. So he shifts a bit.
