How To Write A 600-Word Article In Less Than 30 Minutes

A step-by-step guide to show you that it doesn’t take long to write a decent length article

What’s a nice figure for a Medium article or any article for that matter? It’s approximately between 500–1,000 words, depending on the topic that you’re writing about and how much you plan to cover.

In terms of reading time, that’s approximately between 3–6 minutes, which again is a pretty nice duration.

This is because you’re hoping to attract readers who do have the time to read longer articles, as well as readers who are probably reading during their commute to work while on public transportation or while stuck at work.

Generally, my articles are closer to 1,000 words — plus minus. That’s mainly because when I write, I tend to elaborate quite a bit on the topic.

Or sometimes I just get a bit too carried away.

But there are times where hitting about 600–700 words seem just nice because it’s not too long but not too short either.

And to be honest, I think most readers prefer articles within these number of words and duration.
