Will Easton wait for Robin?

There was a slight chill in the air and Robin pulled her wrap closer around her shoulders. “I know you said we don’t have to go on the boat,” she said to Easton. “But could we? It’s a little chilly out here.”

“Sure, but what about the chauffeur?”

“He’ll wait. He loves the overtime.”

“Good enough,” Easton said.

He took Robin’s hand and led her down the steps and onto the deck of the boat.

“We can go below deck,” he said, and guided her down a narrow passageway, leading to his private cabin.

The boat rocked ever so gently as they entered the cabin. It was small, but Robin liked it. Against one side were two small shelves, one covered with books, and another with a decanter and several glasses.

“I approve,” she said to Easton.

“I’m glad. Would you like an after-dinner brandy?”

“Sure!”

He poured the amber liquor into two snifters and passed one to her. They sat on the bed and clinked glasses.

“To us,” she said.

“To us,” he said, and they sipped.

“I’m so glad you came to the concert,” she said. “I hope you enjoyed it.”
