I Analyzed my 1-Year Writing Journey using a Fancy Dashboard — Time to Bust Some Myths
I might suck at beating the algorithm, but I am pretty good at reflecting back on my failures
A while ago, I created a dashboard to better visualize my Medium stats. In it, I promised a V2.0, and what better way to introduce it than on my one-year anniversary on the platform.
1 year, 82 articles, 83K views, and a mere 589 followers later, I am here to reflect on my Medium journey. Not only that but I am here to give you full access to my articles’ performance, including monthly earnings.
Let’s dive in together. Here is a link to V2.0 of my Medium dashboard.
It's time to bust some myths.
1. “Publish every day for more followers and better earnings”
One questions many new writers, including me, ask themselves is ‘How can I increase my following and earnings?’ and often times the advice given is to publish daily.
Do a 30-day challenge. Do a 90-day challenge. Do a 365-day challenge.
Gain all the followers. Earn all the dollars.
