I Bless You With Love

… and I release you from my life

Let’s be real. Life happens. Don’t ask me to be positive all the time. Life is not always a walk in the park on a beautiful sunny day. Sometimes, it rains with the thunderstorm.

Nonetheless, when that happens, I was advised to look for a rainbow in such a storm. Then, they continue to say in every cloud, look for the silver lining. I was always pushed to see the bright side of things. “Be positive” is such a confusing word. At times, I don’t even understand what that means.

As mentioned by Ayodeji Awosika:

One of the things I hate most about the self-improvement industry is the idea that you have to be positive, happy, and content all the time.

I agree with his statement, as discussed above. Despite my much-loved meditation practices, I am unable to be content, happy and positive all the time. I am human. I do have other feelings too.

Be realistic, please

Most of the time, we can’t find any rainbow, let alone silver lining. All we can see are dark clouds in that pouring rain. It’s not that we don’t have a positive attitude about life. We are just human.

In my opinion, We can’t be expected to feel positive, happy and content all the time. Frequently we are discouraged by people, situations, problems and all sorts of negativity in life. These circumstances will disturb our peace of mind, no matter how content we can be in any given moment. As much as we want to stay positive despite what happens, most of the time, we failed to do so. We judge the situation before us, and we react towards it. We see it as how we want to see it, without trying to understand why this or that happens. We blame the situation. We hate people. We see the negative in all.

Notwithstanding the above, we want to have peace and tranquillity amid our chaotic life. We don’t want to be affected by what is happening in our life. Yes, we are allowed to feel all the negativity, but we can’t let it consume us. We need to do something immediately so that we regain our consciousness and take back control of our emotions. We are mentally strong people, and we don’t let our external environment dictates what we feel inside.

People. Situations. Problems. Unwanted Negativity.

We don’t give them the power.

So what do we do now?

Breathe and Release

Instead of frustrating with life because of matters beyond our control, we can practice this one habit that eventually promotes inner peace, that is — if we are willing to give this a try.

I bless you with love … and I release you from my life.

There it is. As simple as that.

The late Louise Hay has taught the above in one of her famous books. I came to learn this early this year, and I had been practising it ever since. Little did I know it promotes inner peace to my turmoil soul. Trust me, it works.

This can be done to people or any unwanted situations in life.

For People:

Dear [insert name], I Bless you with love, and I Release you from my life.

For Situations / Problems / Unwanted Negativity

I Bless this [insert situation/problems/unwanted negativity] with love, and I Release it from my life.

The above can be practised at any time. I did it every time I am faced with something which is beyond my control, dealing with difficult people, or when I am facing any negative emotions or problems in life. Again, based on my personal experience, it works!

For some people, the above may sound a bit far-fetch to believe. However, there’s no harm in trying. As mentioned by Oprah:

You become what you Believe.

Give it a try. Believe. Let the magic unfolds. God / Nature / Universe works in mysterious ways. You will be surprised when it works. You’ll thank me later :-) when that happens. Take care and God Bless.
