Alrighty, let’s actually do something this year!

2020 is finally over. It wasn’t the greatest year, but it definitely wasn’t the worst. I started my first novel (more on that later), got engaged to the love of my life, and moved into a gorgeous apartment.

Finish my first novel.

I’ve gotten to 13k words, but I’ve hit a bit of a creative snag. I’m thinking of making some large changes that will require me to take a step back, in order to continue to move forward. One such change would require me to delay the appearance of one of my main characters.

Lose 15 pounds.

Fitness is a pretty large part of my life. The impact of one’s level of fitness with their happiness is significant. Many of my exercises are done because I know I need a quick-fix for my mood. My fiancée also likes to stay in shape. She’s been an excellent motivator for me. Kudos to her.

Have a successful start to my marriage.

If you’ve read any of my writing, then you know that I am getting married this year. I plan on following my marriage in my writing, but more importantly, I wish to have a strong start to what is meant to be the rest of our lives.

Reach 1,000 followers on Medium.

My fiancée believes in go-big-or-go-home, and clearly has a huge impact on my goals. I started on this platform in September, and I have gained nearly 400 followers. I’m happy, but not satisfied.

Finish the Harry Potter books.

I always try to have a purely fun-related goal. I recently watched the films with my partner, and I (of course) loved them. She just purchased the book boxset for me, and now I will be able to dive into the written side of the story.
