Here they enter,
The foxes and the lions.
Both at odds.
The fox ambushes,
As does the lion.
Both have cunning.
Cowardice makes the fox.
Courage makes the lion.
The lion knows strength.
The fox only knows cunning.
The fox cannot fight as the lion.
So it baited they with lies
So the lions forgot their cunning.
Oh how splendid a lion’s victory,
Should they ever learn cunning again!
But they’ll never learn,
For all the foxes claimed to seek masters,
While many lions among the pride did not.
For the fox knews,
How to compliment,
How to favor,
How to domesticate unto others,
As they shall domesticate unto them.
And the lion came to know.
How to desire flashy strength,
How to scoff from sneaky cunning,
How to seek counsel from foxes,
As the foxes sought favor under them for their admirable conduct.
So drained all cunning from the pride,
So pride replaced all cunning.
And with pride came complacency,
So their strength was never used,
For the foxes were great judges.
And so the foxes won.
And so the lions lost.
They carried that society of foxes,
Because they took pride in rules,
While their enemies never did.
