People Are Having The Wrong Concept Of What It Truly Means To Be Rich
Clarity is needed to achieve real richness — and how to get it
I remember when I was growing up in a family that was struggling financially, all I ever wanted was to be rich.
I wanted to be able to eat at the restaurants my friends ate at.
I wanted to buy the toys my friends had.
I wanted to wear the clothes my friends wore.
I wanted to play the video games my friends played.
I wanted to be rich because I wanted to buy all these things that would make me happy.
Or so I thought.
I have money but I didn’t feel rich
Fast forward a few decades and I find myself working a pretty decent job, earning a pretty decent salary, and being able to afford pretty decent stuff.
I was earning money that I could only have dreamt of as a kid.
I could buy the things I had always wanted to buy.
And I did.
But I didn’t feel rich or happy — for long at least.
