A hidden gem tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood of Cheras in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We chanced upon this cafe while taking a stroll down a quiet street some time back. Catching our attention was the cafe frontage which had a rustic look with little pots of coffee as decor. Hidden out back is a hair salon which adds to the unique look and entire ambiance of it all.

Income Double Special (RM 18)

Although some people might argue that its simply instant noodles plated nicely and topped with a chicken chop and a bulls eye. Surprisingly, some cafes still mess it up by serving noodles all clumped together and the chicken chop in some cases are served hard as stone and dry as the Sahara. Today however, aside from being plated beautifully, the noodles were nice and moist and a little chewy which is perfect. The chicken chop was sliced, tender and juicy within. It was garnished with a sprinkle of chilli flakes and chives giving the dish a refreshing edge.

Hot Mocha (RM 13)

There is no better way to start the day than with a nice robust cup of coffee with a pretty design top side and this cafe has definitely nailed it.

With simple yet pretty dishes at affordable prices with a opportunity to re-live the 80’s, I see no reason not to swing by.
