Crystal skyscrapers gleaming in the light
Technology around me like a plague spreading fast
Christ the Redeemer’s duty solely to unite
Poverty unseen like a memory of the past
As I meander through the city of deception
Filled with the last vestiges of grace
I heed the conflicting exhibition
And the hints of abundant disgrace
Across from the glamorous and mighty city
I roam through the neglected favelas
Brimming with disarray and graffiti
Sadness engulfs the town forever
Despite our contrast and prestige
We are all victims of pain
We are all victims of injustice
We are all victims of death
