Survival

It’s different outside.
The air may be light but it
masks the troubles that
bind our decadent lives.
Although the roads are smooth, the sidewalks empty and
our souls filled with pride;
Our eyes will stretch wide and
run dry in these
unprecedented times.
Though our feet not pressed on
foreign land
or our hands intertwined,
we must sail through callous days
with our morals aligned.
Placing our differences aside.
