The Book Cover I Adore
One book cover has made me judgemental
An avid reader is not supposed to judge the book by its cover. There is a fair chance of missing your next favorite book if you do so. You may not like every book cover, but every book has something to share.
Regardless,
Book covers do have power. Maybe you don’t like the book but its tempting cover never ceases to amaze you.
Whether you agree with the influence of the book cover or not, you cannot deny its appeal.
I’m not judgmental of book covers either but one book cover stands out in my world.
A book cover is an attempt to give a glimpse of what the book is all about. But not every color and graphic combination can appeal to your eyes.
That happened when I was doing a graphic designing project on book covers and I had to look for popular and enticing book covers.
It took me a long time to categorize book covers. But I did it. Every book cover had some specialty and a different visual effect.
But,
The Red Queen book series' cover was easily persuading and tempting in the piles of books. In the attempt to describe the theme of the book, the designer hasn’t sacrificed elegance.
Yes, many books have elegant covers but the blend of visuals and colors of the book in question had no match, at least in my eyes. Each cover in the Red Queen Book Series has the same charm as the previous one.
I had already read that book series and I liked the sophisticated cover back then. If you have read the book too you may notice its combinations and everything being explained decently makes it stand out. From the book cover, you get something beyond the glimpse of the theme. Yet, it is a beautiful blend of all the things.
From that time I couldn’t help to like and praise the cover. Now I do believe in the prominence of some books' cover.
At the bookshop, maybe we can resist our visual fascination but in our bookshelves, captivating book covers allure you to reading.
Everyone’s choice is different. Getting the book whose cover inspired you is out of question. But, I believe that a good book with a good cover is promising and welcoming, now and in the years to come. The book cover beckons as the book beckons!
