Unless you’re a serial killer who got off on a technicality and perhaps even you are, you can get approved to deliver for — Uber Eats, DoorDash, GrubHub, etc. Any of the food delivery services.

Upload your car insurance and your driver’s license, download their app, send them a selfie and you’re ready to be exploited. Yee Haw!

You’re making money! Calm down, because you’re probably not making as much as you think. It’s complicated.

I once said to a client regarding her pay, “if you have to take a math class in order to understand how you’re being paid, you’re probably getting screwed. She was and she quit.

Making money in food delivery is all in the timing, the price of gas and the hustle. You make enough money not to overdraw your checking account. That’s good! Yet it bites you a few months later when you have to shell out for new tires sooner than you thought. That’s not good.

The people you see on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram documenting how much money they’re making are probably making more money from the social media channel than from their deliveries.
