Recently I reviewed 120 resumes/CVs and cover letters for a data analyst role. Although this was a junior role, I noticed that many of the applicants could not write well at all or at least not a lot of effort was put in. Even for this type of job, it is important to demonstrate your writing skills because employers want someone who can communicate clearly and concisely. Reading so many terribly written cover letters after cover letters, I wondered if I overlooked their technical ability completely.
