Wayne Shorter, (89) was a saxophonist and composer who worked with the likes of Art Blakey, Herbie Hancock, and Miles Davis. Shorter was a jazz fusion pioneer, an original and influential jazz artist for the last six decades, and was the co-founder of the Weather Report jazz fusion ensemble.
