“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” (James 1:3).

Midnight Before Dawn

Sometimes our troubles, tribulations seem more than we can bear
Our days appear to be dreary, dark as midnight, while our heart’s tear
Wondering, “Why me? Why not someone else?” as the story goes
Everyone experiences pains, some hide it, while others let it show.

Without failure, if we change our perspective on our situation
Or if we compare our situation with another’s, degradation
Somehow our situation is not as bad as it seems
All is just for a season, as God has this day deemed.

For without darkness, there can be no light
Without pain and suffering, no appreciation when all is right
Experiencing the true feeling of joy and happiness is a gift
For God has removed the pain, and your burden, he lift
Without experiences, maturity may never be
Without midnight, to the dawn, you never see.
