Unique Lessons from a Unique Lemon on a Lemon Tree
Flaws are inevitable, where there is life, nothing or no one is perfect!!
This morning as I rushed home from the gym, I remembered that I had promised to give some associates lemons from our lemon tree tomorrow, so I hastened to pick these before the sun came up. As usual always in a rush, day planned out as I move quickly from one task to another, onto the main tasks of the day.
Threw down my bags, jacket and keys, swung open the patio doors as I rushed out into the back yard to grab as many lemons as I could in record time, 30 seconds. Pulling the lemons as fast as I could, while yanking them off the tree, some were easy to remove while others required a tug. Some I had to pull harder to detach from the vine and others detached easily as if they were waiting for me. Counting every minute as I moved around the tree like a madwoman trying to throw as many lemons in my plastic bag quicker than I could blink my eyes. Getting tired from the rush, yet I kept pulling and pulling and pulling until my bag was almost filled. I must have picked about 30 lemons. Felt gratified that this task was done. Felt like I had run a marathon. I can’t begin to express why the rush! Then…
