As a 59-year-old whose date of birth places him just inside the Baby Boomer generation, I’m doing what I can to see some of my rock n roll heroes while they're still performing. Aw heck, I’ll even go see them at a book signing if necessary.

I missed the opportunity to see one of the best and one of my favorites, the great rocker Tom Petty, and it’s hard to forgive myself for that one.

My wife, bless her heart, got me tickets as a gift to see Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band for an outdoor concert. It actually took place this September after three cancellations due to the pandemic.

So my first concert in years, and I, with my wife and daughter, along with 6,000 fans, gathered to enjoy the music of a Beatle and several other amazing rockers, sharing their greatest hits.

While in a moment, for your amusement, I’ll list some of the “wonderful” things I heard and saw at the concert, I will say that the crowd, while on average tilted quite a bit to the older side, it was also a beautiful mix of young, older, and everything in between.
