Chickens’ Life

The first ray of morning sunlight seeping through the chicken coop,
Two chubby chickens open their eyes.
As the coop door is open, they wobble out jauntily,
Glancing at the surroundings that they’ve been so familiar with.
This is chickens’ life.

Piles of food laying on the chicken run,
Nothing delectable or exciting, but easy and simple.
