‘Finding Your Voice’ Book Review: Your Voice Matters
A children’s book about overcoming silence and claiming back your voice.

In today’s post, I will be doing a children’s book review called “Finding Your Voice” by a mother-son duo of both Ernest Waith and Crystal Melville. This book is dedicated to Ernest Waith’s story. A boy who possessed the gift of speaking the truth, became silent, and regained his gift.
Synopsis
“Finding Your Voice,” describes the series of events in a young boy’s life worth observing. As he fought his own will to accept what others thought he should be, he instead found out that the most powerful weapon to demolish evil was his voice. It is the hope that people, all over the world, are touched by such a moment in time and can create a life pattern of speaking their heart fearlessly to others.”
Takeaways
My takeaway from this book is how we should value our voice and not let anyone silence them. God has the power to give us our voice to speak the truth. We need to use our gifts and use it for the greater good. In Ernest’s case, he used his gift and spoke to his mother’s pain.
Although the evil monster silenced his gift, Ernest’s mother allowed him to participate in activities he enjoyed. As a result, he opened up. Thus, his gift returned and spoke the truth.
For people who struggled to find their voice, you are not alone in this journey. Don’t let anyone keep you from being silent.
