She Raised Her Hand

She raised her hand because she thought she knew the answers.
She raised her hand a lot.
And often she was right, but after a while, her arm grew heavy
and she grew tired of lifting it.
Now, she sometimes raises a finger or lifts an eyebrow,
but even that can feel like too much work some days.
