LETTER
Writers on Fire Now Lives inside Nexus Generation
I know, it sounds complicated — but really, it isn’t. Back in the day, Writers on Fire was a group located inside Facebook. That was all fine and dandy except dealing with Facebook is about enough to drive a saint crazy.
Nexus Generation is a subscription platform I created to facilitate all kinds of learning — not just for writers. If you’re interested in learning more and aren’t already a member of Nexus Generation (or the Writers on Fire Writing Group), come check us out here.
One of the benefits of being part of the Writers on Fire group is that you have the option of submitting your work to our very own publication here on Facebook.
Here are a few recent stories you won’t want to miss.
Tanya Storey’s powerful account of the day she knew she was an alcoholic is raw, painful, and ultimately, hopeful.
Mary Gallagher reflects on messages in Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic.
Dog-lovers won’t want to miss Kallie Allen’s story about her charming little dog, Finn.
Zoe Day’s poetry is always moving — check out her series of short poems inspired by Japanese traditional forms.
What Are We Writing?
This week in the Writers on Fire group we’re talking about dialogue — when to use dialogue tags, how to use dialogue to convey information about plot and character as well as how to write dialogue that’s natural and compelling.
The conversation continues….
Until next time — happy writing!
Cheers,
Nikki Tate-Stratton
Editor of Writers on Fire
