When one has a writing project to deliver, the decision to write through a ghostwriter or by oneself is essential. For such a decision, one will need to consider a few things before taking a step in either direction. The good thing about the two decisions is that either of them will have your name as the author. It is worthy of note that none of the decisions is bad, it is all a matter of choice.

People consider working with a ghostwriter on their writing project when they have a tight schedule and almost impossible to have time to write. This is true for busy executives who have a story to share with the world but do not have the time to settle down and write. Some have a story to share but they don’t know how to write or how to go about it. This set of people consider themselves either as novice or unprofessional to write a book but they want to be called an author. People who fall into these two categories have no option but to work with a ghostwriter to deliver their book.

If you are considering working with a ghostwriter, you need to be aware that it will cost you money. First, you will need to find the right ghostwriter and that can be very stressful. Finding the right ghostwriter is as essential as the writing project itself and is pivotal to the success of the book. Next, you will need to negotiate the pay, that is the crux of the matter. Remember that ghostwriters are writing for the money, so you need to be boxed up to go on this path. Here, your negotiation skill will help such that you can achieve your aim with a modest budget.

However, writing the book by yourself is a great path to self-fulfillment and it should be considered if you want to feel that you have done something great. Apart from this, you will gain the experience of writing it through and this comes with the experiential knowledge of writing a whole book. Well, this may be a daunting task at first but if you can do it once, you have broken through and you can do it again. This may be the motivation you need to write more and have that confidence that you are truly an author. Anyone who intends to write a book must learn to be disciplined with time and avoid distractions when setting out to write.
