Do you ever run out of ideas of what to write about?

Are there times when inspiration is sparse?

Or maybe you have a whole slew of ideas, but just don’t feel like writing about any of them right now?

I find that I tend to fall into that last category. I don’t usually have a problem coming up with ideas. I usually end up with more ideas than I can ever write. Especially here on Medium. I see ideas and do a screenshot of them on my phone, or jot a note on a piece of paper, sometimes on the back of an old envelope. Sometimes I’m even organized enough to make a list. Unfortunately, before the list gets anywhere near crossed off, it’s usually hidden under an avalanche of other incoming notes.

And then there are the cryptic notes I make for myself. And I look at them days/weeks/months later and think …. PF/JJ T-shirts??? What in the dickens did I even mean by that?

Obviously THAT one will never make it into a story. Because I don’t have a clue what I meant.

But some days, even with all the notes and lists, I just don’t feel like writing to any of those.
