Consider our hero. He sits, bleary-eyed and grunting, slumped over a desk. He is a portrait of despair. He stares at a computer screen. His glasses pick up the reflection of a Medium article. He howls with animalistic fervor.

“Aliens?!? They Highlander 2'ed my masterwork!”

His brain, generally consisting of neuroses and 80’s film references, struggles to formulate some way to move forward.

Nearby sits a cat, glaring at our hero. The cat is unimpressed with the hero’s attempts at humor. Also, the cat feels entitled to the chair our hero is sitting in and is feeling quite resentful.

Oh! Hello there! It’s…so very good to be back after…the incident…which we shall never mention again.

So, instead, let’s thank the people that made this week successful, shall we?

Anna Soldenhoff, H.R. Parker, Eva MacInnes, Jay C Wells, AmyLee, Writer || Fiction, Personal Essays, Poetry, Cathylouise, Erosia Potter, JF Danskin, Hannah Greer.

Hopefully, I didn’t miss you. If I did, please let me know in the comments.

I write weird stories that may or may not have monsters in them, depending on my mood. I can write 2k words on just about anything- except for a coherent bio.
