This story featured one of Grim Flandango’s drabble-a-day words, ‘Supply’, from (Ep. V) The Drabble Strikes Back!

It also featured idea 2 from my Character Driven Fiction prompts: “Write a story focusing on the newest member of a team — your choice what kind of team. A novice pirate on a voyage? The new kid at school? A recently elected politician?”
