Memories of hot summer days spent under bleachers eating red licorice were some of the most boring days of my life. Once in a while I would glance over at the young boys sitting and chatting in the dugout, but that too was boring. My sister and I would climb on the underside of the bleachers unaware of the rattling and rolling that might have bothered the fans actually enjoying the game.

I would rather be riding my bike to the top of the mountain or practicing Bridge Over Troubled Water on the piano.

In fact, anything but watching baseball!

Thanks to Grim Flandango for suggesting the word ‘dugout’ for this drabble.
