God’s eyes brimmed with sorrow in the celestial realm as he gazed upon the desolate Earth. The aftermath of World War III had left the planet devoid of life, an empty canvas waiting to be revived. He sought a swift solution to replenish the planet with life.

Summoning His celestial staff, God called for a meeting to discuss the best course of action. Ideas were tossed around, and possibilities explored.

“Perhaps, we could start by mixing the right chemicals to form new life.”

“We could, but that would entail another couple of billion years of evolution. It won’t be quick.”

“What if we could infuse life into all the deceased bodies strewn across the planet?”

“That won’t work. The bodies have long decomposed, rendering them useless for such a task.”

“What about the idols in the temples? Perhaps we can grant them life.”

“There are not enough of them. We need billions.”

Then, amidst the thoughtful silence, a quiet voice emerged. “I know where to find billions of able bodies.” The speaker then proceeded to explain his idea.

God’s face lit up with a smile. The simplicity of the suggestion held a charm, a promise of new beginnings.

Startled, he jolted awake within the confines of the closet, disoriented by the darkness and oppressive heat. He couldn’t remember who he was or where he was. Emerging into the larger room, he discovered a messy space, cluttered and filled with swirling motes of dust, illuminated by the weak late afternoon sunlight.

His feet tripped over a sharp object on the floor. Regaining his balance, he knelt down to inspect the object — it was a piece of a broken mirror. He moved closer to see his reflection.

And there, gazing back at him, was a two-inch tall, brightly colored, Lego minifigure.
