Have you ever been to a writing class? Or joined a group of writers? (Like, in real life, I mean?).

Many writers talk about how much they have gained from doing creative writing workshop activities, such as:

• Sharing their work and receiving feedback
• Learning from peers
• Responding to writing tasks and prompts

Of course, we already have all of these things here on Medium! We have a community, loads of writing advice, as well as prompts for stories. Fellow authors can clap and comment on our stories.

However, why not make this all a bit more targeted and coherent via a series of weekly Creative Writing Workshop stories and tasks?

Together, these will form a kind of masterclass here on Medium, helping writers like you to work towards particular goals, and to take your fiction writing to the next level.

How will it work?

Here’s the initial idea:

1. We (TFWD) will share stories every week about the craft of creative writing. This is not about us…
