Have you noticed a bunch of very short fiction shared on Medium recently? And all the weird terms people use?

Confused? Read on! In this piece, I’ll explain more about the various forms of short fiction, and the terms used.

Let’s start with the drabble. When I first set fellow authors a drabble challenge back in 2022, it was pretty uncommon to share 100-word stories on Medium. But I know that many people (myself included) have found drabbles quite addictive…
