This is the latest in a series about new words and phrases, specimens collected during expeditions into the deepest, darkest literary and media wilderness, and displayed for your entertainment, elucidation, and enlightenment. These are new to me, but of course, you may know some or all of them already, in which case you are welcome to marvel at my ignorance, an inexhaustible seam of material to be mined. “Bed rotting” –The practice of staying in bed for hours on end, usually with a partner, scrolling on screens and so on, to escape from the harsh realities of real life, like work or other horrors. The word was seen in an online right-wing paper which I will not link on principle, so I looked it up elsewhere:
