Coronavirus Changes Lives
Many Americans’ lives have been permanently changed.
The mental health of so many is being challenged on a historical level. It started with the quarantine but that's online the beginning.

“It started with the store across the mall,” Samantha Campbell said, explaining how she lost her job. “I was hoping for us to close because I thought we would still get paid. Little did I know…”
Samantha along with many others lost her job due to COVID-19. Many people believe it’s the lack of human contact that endangers a person's mental health during this time. The more notable, more permanent challenges people are facing is the record high level of unemployment that America is fighting with.
While many are suffering from store closures and lost jobs, essential businesses are being bombarded with new policies and items selling out. With all the new rules that customers are struggling to deal with many grocery store workers are getting into altercations with customers.
“My sister’s really been struggling with school and getting quite bored staying inside all day,” Samantha said, referring to her elementary school-aged sister.
Not only are adults struggling, but so are children, teens, and even the elderly. Many students in the class of 2020 are having a momentous event in their lives with the cancellation of many graduation ceremonies

There have been a few times more important than now in the world of mental health. With so many stuck in the house, this could easily be even scarier for those who have to deal with domestic abuse between the members of their household.
Everyone should be doing their part in educating themselves about the virus in order to ease themselves of the fear of the unknown.
