Family reunion

When you are strolling outside and notice lots of lanterns hanging in the street, you will know that Chinese New Year is around the corner. It is tradition for family members to come home for a reunion on the eve of Chinese New Year. Most of the time, we enjoy an elaborate spread of the diversified signature dishes made by our grandma. After the meal, everyone gathers around tables set up for Mahjong and start playing. This is my favorite part of the Chinese New Year celebration because if we are lucky we can earn some game money. Next day, if weather permits, we will go mountain climbing because we are fond of the spectacular view from the top of the mountain. Even though we have the same schedule every year, I never get tired of it because the most important meaning of the reunion is to spend time with our beloved ones.
