Death Penalty or Not?

Although the death penalty has always been a controversial issue among human rights activist groups, I think that the death penalty should be preserved. The death penalty can be used as a tool to prevent people from committing crime, as it reduces potential criminal behaviors. Additionally, it makes sure justice is served because most murderers wish to avoid the death penalty. What’s more, it is a waste of valuable resources when there are many death row inmates staying in prisons. In brief, the government can save on taxes - making good use of them in more meaningful ways, and focus instead on bringing prosperity to the nation. Above all, abolishing the death penalty would only bring more problems and be unfair to the victims.
