Freedom

According to the Macmillan Dictionary, freedom is the right to do what you want without restriction, and it includes personal liberty, freedom of speech, and freedom of assembly. First of all, having personal liberty means that you can travel anywhere you like. If however you are a citizen of an authoritarian country like North Korea, then you won’t have the liberty to go abroad without being investigated first. Additionally, freedom of speech gives you the right to express your own opinions without censorship. You are free to criticize your government in public when you feel dissatisfied with it. Last but not least, the right of assembly allows you to gather in any place to freely convey your opinions. For example, when students gathered together for the Sunflower Movement to protest against the government’s backroom deals. In conclusion, freedom is a power that allows you to act without constraints.
