The Right Choice?

There are pros and cons when launching a new product. Even companies like Coca-Cola and Apple have made wrong choices but learned from them. For example, Coca- Cola replaced the original product with a new one, and it turned out to be a tragedy. Apple also released a new, multi functional and innovative device which was later not marketable. However, with the help of Steve Jobs, Apple reached success by releasing the very popular product, iPhone. Just as Jobs said, “A lot of times, people don’t know what they want until you show it to them.” Therefore, focus groups are not always the key to making decisions regarding a product launch. Sometimes, what a company needs is the courage, and money helps.
