Does Fabrique des Lumières live up to its expectations?

In Amsterdam, Netherlands rests a hidden gem that you simply have to experience for yourself. Opened by CultureSpaces on April 22, 2022, this art exhibition allows for onlookers to become surrounded by the works of many famous artists; Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Gustav Klimt and Salvador Dalí to name a few.

Essentially, it is a large room with hundreds of projectors that work together to create moving images with music playing over the top, but Fabrique is so much more than that. Fabrique des Lumières is an ingenious way to experience art for those of us, myself included, who find conventional art museums and exhibitions a little dry.

To be able to experience this for yourself, you simply visit their website which will allow you to purchase tickets. The tickets themselves are very reasonably priced at 14 Euros (12.34 Pounds), which means this exhibition is widely accessible to everyone which only raises my opinion further. Through the many art exhibitions I have visited including The Louvre in Paris to the National Gallery in London it is quite rare that I find myself wanting to go back around again but in Fabrique des Lumières I wanted to do just that.

I must admit, it is not the first exhibition by CulturalSpaces I have attended, Carrieres des Lumières in Les Baux-de-Provence also boasts a jaw-dropping experience with other famous artists’ works being displayed there.

CulturalSpaces’ roster of venues to host these exhibitions leaves nothing to be desired. Each location brings a different way to see the works of these artists, I’m convinced you could go to each location (there are 12) to see the same artist and you will still get a different experience each time. There are not many art exhibitions you can say that about.

Even the location for Fabrique is perfect, easily accessible by tram and a short walk to everything you could possibly want to go and do. Coffee shops or not, although attending one may make your experience even more immersive, you can certainly stop off for lunch afterwards.

I once again reiterate that this experience is an absolute must for anyone in proximity to one of their 12 locations to go and view it for yourself because you may even want to go again. I did.
