Hot Milk With Cereals Is The Best

A few days ago, while I was enjoying a perfectly normal breakfast, my flatmate noticed that I was eating my cereals with hot milk and chocolate powder. This came as something completely weird for him. As far as I remember, I have to admit that I always saw others savour their cereals with cold milk.

There is a totally rational explanation for why I do this. I have always had hot chocolate for breakfast and as a kid I didn’t really like cereals. Growing older, and because youth camps don’t give you many breakfast choices, I started to like cereals and as I was used to drinking my milk hot, I just decided to mix them both.

You may think it is degusting, but you can never tell before you’ve tasted it. Let me present you five good reasons to eat your cereals with hot chocolate milk.

1. It‘s original

Doing the same as everybody else is boring. Our differences are indeed, what make us special and allow us to distinguish from the others. By adopting this new breakfast, you won’t be an anonymous shadow among others any longer but rather the all-shining sun of the kitchen.

Also, If you happen to be tired of doing the same things everyday and you’re looking for some changes in your life, maybe you should start by adopting new and exciting eating habits. This delicious meal will take your mind away of whatever problem is in your mind, in other words it is perfect to start a good day.

2. It closes the eternal debate of when to add the cereals

Should we pour the cereals before or after the milk? It is with no doubt that we can say this question has divided populations since the dawn of time. How many friends were on the verge to lose when they saw you put milk in an empty bowl? Or the other way around?

With hot milk, the problem is easily solved. You have no other choice than adding the cereals after, as you will have to heat up the milk first. Of course, some may said we could still add the cereals before heating up, but believe me, you don’t want to try this option (unless you’ve got a pretty good scourer). Say goodbye to your headaches, and definitely hello to an impressive gain of time.

3. A hot drink is always better in the UK

I am specially addressing international students here, not used to the cold, the wind, and the rain of this charming country. They would probably better understand what I mean. Ok, I may not be the best example, as I come from Northern France and the weather is pretty similar to Kent (though the wind is not so cold), however my Spanish origins make me always seek ways to warm up my body. And what’s best than a smooth hot drink before starting a hard day?

I know I’ll have the outside of my body cold as soon as I’ll get out, so I’d better warm up the inside beforehand, and I think you should do the same.

4. Melted chocolate cereals are delicious

Another thing my flatmate pointed out, is that putting cereals in hot milk, especially chocolate cereals will melt them. To what I answered, “Of course it will, that’s the best part!”. Indeed, the cereals give a thick texture to the chocolate milk and relatively turn it into a true hot chocolate.

It’s like you could almost imagine yourself enjoying some exquisite “chocolate con churros” on the seaside in Southern Spain (ok, maybe not that much… but close).

5. There is never enough chocolate

And this may be the most important point yet. Who doesn’t like chocolate? Chocolate is LOVE! It’s like a heavenly dose of sweetness which wakes you up much more delicately than caffeine (and without the bad breath). And the taste is simply amazing, making you feel like you’re sitting on a cloud.

Therefore summing up chocolate milk and chocolate cereals is certainly the perfect way to make someone happy. This random match is probably one of the best discoveries I have ever made. No matter how odd it may seem, you quickly forget it when you start eating.

If you are still not convinced by my detailed and research based (on me) arguments, then there is only one thing left to do. Try it for yourself! Come on, I assure you there is nothing to be afraid of.
