Woman Sought in Prince’s Blinding
News emerged this morning of a tragic event that has lead to our beloved Prince losing his sight. It is believed he sustained the injuries when he fell from a high tower into thorns after an altercation with local wise woman Mother Gothel over his relationship with her daughter, Rapunzel.
The King’s Guard are investigating and are keen to speak to Rapunzel, who was last seen several days before the incident. They have stressed that Rapunzel is not under suspicion at present, however, she may have vital information about the events leading up to the altercation.
Rapunzel is described as beautiful, with skin as pale as milk, eyes as blue as cornflowers and short blonde hair. She is known to have an irresistible compulsion to sing, therefore she may be seeking employment as an entertainer; tavern-owners, troubadours and travelling entertainers are asked to be especially vigilant.
A hospital spokesfairy said today that the Prince remains in a serious condition. In addition to the damage to his sight, he sustained a number of broken bones and internal injuries. It is not known if any of these other injuries are life-changing.
An unnamed source told this reporter the Prince’s bodyguards had security concerns about the developing relationship and had warned him of the dangers of continuing his pursuit of Rapunzel.
Mother Gothel remains in custody pending further enquiries.
